We were inspired primarily by Trinidad's annual pre-Lenten Carnival, a three-week festival of the arts reflecting the diverse expressive traditions of the Caribbean, bringing together a wide range of indigenous songs and instrumental music, dances, masquerade and oral traditions. The carnival features various foods and folk traditions of the region. Since the late 1980s, participation from Central and South America, Africa, the Bahamas, Haiti and elsewhere in Canada has added a dimension of multiculturalism to the festival, that is uniquely Canadian. JVL Global Corp is a Microfinance Consulting, Business Process Re-Engineering, Financial, Operational and Strategic Planning and Risk Management organization. After a couple of client meet ups, we set out to keep this logo simple and direct. The logo speaks for itself; "a typical client/consultant training session in progress". In keeping the letters JVL in blue, matches the consultant icon in blue of the icon group. Mada Hotels is one of East Africa's leading chain hospitality service providers. We at RAREIMPRESSIONS pride ourselves to be a part of their branding. The Brand Identity designed in-house, comprises of two M's flipped to form an 'H' thus forms the initials "MH". This also adds a differant perspective of african art that embodies the essence of africa. REFLECO is a cleaning and maintenance service company. The wordmark "REFLECO" came about from the word "reflect", through inspiration of polished floors and clean surfaces. Teamwork Children's Services International is a non-profit organization, that provide services in rural areas of Africa, where there are no government support systems, orphaned children are left behind to be cared for by impoverished relatives, which in most cases are grandmothers in poor health. A luxury tented camp located along the Talek River in the world's famous "Massai Mara". Giraffe being the most commonly sighted animal stimulated us to use the giraffe pattern image. The 'A'in "OLOWUARU" stands tall and takes the shape of a tent bringing this logo together perfectly.
The traditional chakra system distinguishes 7 main colors associated with each energy center, that "Inner Glow Matters" represents. This allowed us to visualize shifting from a static logo, to an active representation that portrayed a dynamic interplay of artistic human cells forming this human like figure, bursting out with positive energy.
A Family owned Restaurant serving East African and Indian cuisine. "SIMBA" meaning lion in swahili, The lion symbol has a strong representation to the slogan "memories of east africa". We worked on a number of concepts, of the logo until reaching the created stunning visual logo Brand Identity you see today. For this client we also created the restaurant menu, flyers, business card and website.
The purpose of this book is to crack the veil of illusions that prevents each and every one of us from being all that we can be, personally and professionally. Our client approached us with a bunch of half typed and half hand written papers with some pictures. We were tasked with designing the entire book from the front and back cover to the pages/chapter layouts. We created a set of quote cards that went along with the book as part of the package.
Most dental logos typically have a tooth symbol. We wanted to be differant. So keeping it simple, we scribbled out the Company's Name initials HDC, to form a raised embossed feel of a tooth like image, thus forming an H with a D and C on opposite sides.
